A modern wooden pallet and pallet collar manufacturing plant operated by UAB JPackaging has been launched in the Šeduva industrial park, becoming one of the largest industrial projects in recent years in the Radviliškis district.
The project, which was completed in less than a year, involved investments exceeding €30 million, and is included in the list of major projects and is considered a project of national importance. National development institution UAB ILTE provided financing for the plant, granting a €24 million loan. UAB JPackaging plant specialises in the production of standard and customised wooden pallets and pallet collars. Automated production lines allow high-volume output while ensuring the quality required for international markets. Wooden pallets from Šeduva will be supplied to the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, and the United Kingdom, while pallet collars will be exported to markets in Europe, Asia, the USA, and North Africa.
The company plans to employ up to 150 people, contributing to job creation and income growth in the region. The project is considered one of the most significant recent investments in Šeduva and the entire Radviliškis district, potentially acting as a catalyst for further economic development in the town and the district.
It is estimated that the new Šeduva plant will process around 185,000 cubic meters of raw materials per year and produce approximately 3 million EPAL-standard pallets. UAB JPackaging’s manufacturing plant is located on a 21-hectare site, with total building area of nearly 11,000 square meters, of which more than 9,700 square meters are designed for manufacturing purposes.
